The Mindset for Survival

The Mindset

Working my job through chemo was part of my mindset.  It was coming from the part of me that refused to give in or give up. A part that was determined to beat this incurable disease.  No matter what cancer was throwing at me, I was determined not to lose.  Some days it was very difficult to get out of the house to go to work.  I had to miss two days of work on the weeks I went to receive treatments,  Two days were full days.  The last day was only a half day, and I would continue on to work on those days.  My family had the same mindset too.  At various times, Diana. Brett, Austin, Joyce all went with me to treatments.  They all gave me lots of prayers

I was determined to go to work. I recall locking myself in my office so I could vomit in the trash can. I was not going to let cancer take me down.
